As you climb high and rugged mountain ranges and descend into picturesque valleys, you will discover the magic of the Victorian High Country.

You will be rewarded with stunning Alpine scenery in an area of wild and pristine rivers and waterfalls, impressive mountains, valleys and mostly untouched wilderness areas.

Exciting tales of mountain men, bushrangers and wild times on the goldfields will be told. There will be time to explore ghost towns with many interesting mining relics and abandoned mines from an era rich in mining history. This is Ned Kelly country and the setting for 'The Man from Snowy River.'

Visit some of the historic huts built and used for shelter by the high Country cattlemen, miners, foresters, bushwalkers and skiers, they are a reminder of the harsh weather conditions and the rich cultural heritage of the High Country.

You will travel through stands of twisted snow gums and majestic mountain ash forests. Cool fern lined gullies provide peaceful settings and are a haven for some of the unique wildlife of this magnificent High Country.
