Cape York is only accessible by land during the dry season, usually May to November. Even then the many creek and river crossings present a challenge. You will relax by lagoons covered with water lilies; swim in crystal clear creeks and rivers; enjoy the beauty of pristine waterfalls; fish for the elusive barramundi and many other species; and experience the ancient wonders of WORLD HERITAGE RAINFORESTS.

Cape York has a colourful history of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander occupation, exploration and mining. The area is sparsely populated and has a diverse range of scenery, flora and fauna. Large saltwater crocodiles inhabit streams, lagoons, and coastal areas.
